What is your favourite Shionogi ‘way of working’ and how do you try to live it each day?

I think they are all good and but the one I feel closest to it is ‘Open and honest’ and I think within the confines of confidentiality, this is refreshing.

In my mind however, as we have developed our ways of working whilst growing together as a new team, they actually describe the way we work. They are a reality, not an aspiration. We just need to remain true to them as we mature.

What has been your best day at Shionogi so far and why?

I have many. More importantly, there are not that many bad ones!

What do you dream about doing in 10 years time?

Hopefully in ten years’ time I will be spending a little more time in the mountains, ideally still healthy enough to participate in all the outdoor activities that I love there.  The icing on the cake will be frequent visits from my then adult children, who have personally chosen to spend time with their parents!

Tell us one think we don’t know about you…

I own a VW campervan called Reg and love leaving London on a Friday evening and heading to the countryside for the weekend.  The more basic the campsite the better – take away the trappings of modern living and the world is far more relaxing, well for short periods anyway.
